Huge Response to International Children’s Painting Competition
The third edition of Kerala Tourism's International Children’s Painting Competition has evoked an overwhelming response across the globe. The competition, which commenced on February 1, 2023, has so far received over 15,000 registrations from around 50 countries including the UAE, the US, the UK, Spain, Germany, France, Italy and Canada. Registration is open till September 30.
Themed 'Kerala Village Life', the contest is open to children aged between 4 and 16 years. Participants should create colourful pictures of Kerala villages using crayons, colour pencils or sketch pens, and upload these to the Kerala Tourism contest page, using their registered login id. Pictures generated with digital, mechanical or electronic tools will not be accepted for the competition and the picture size should not exceed 5 MB.
Participants can submit a maximum of five entries. Parents or guardians can also register on behalf of their wards.
The top three winners will be offered a sponsored five-day trip to Kerala's major tourist destinations, along with a certificate and souvenir. The participants are divided into three categories - those outside India (10 winners), within India and outside Kerala (5 winners), and within Kerala (3 winners). A total of 70 winners across all three categories will receive consolation prizes.
The top five promoters from outside and within Kerala who bring in the maximum number of entrants will also get a five-day sponsored trip to some of the top destinations in the state.
