‘Humanity must unite’ is the theme of International Theatre Festival of Kerala
The 13th edition of the International Theatre Festival of Kerala will be held from February 5 to 14 in Thrissur district.
The main venue of the festival is the Regional Theatre, which is named after theatre personality K.T. Mohammed. Other venues are Black Box, named after famous playwright Thoppil Bhasi; Open Theatre, named after actor Murali, former chairman of the Kerala Sangeeta Nataka Akademi, who started the theatre festival; Ramanilayam; Koothambalam; Artist Sujathan’s scenic gallery; pavilion gallery near Indoor Stadium; Town Hall open-air venue; Fine Arts College hall; and KILA.
The 13th edition of ITFoK will feature 10 international and 14 national plays. It is curated by a team of Anuradha Kapur, Deepan Sivaraman and B. Ananthakrishnan. The Kudumbashree Mission will organize a food festival at the basketball ground near the indoor stadium. Traditional cuisines from different states of India will be available at the food festival.
