Conde Nast Traveller Magazine Hails Kochi as One of the Best Places to Go in Asia in 2024

Kochi, the happening city in central Kerala has been recognised as one of the best places to go in Asia in 2024 by the London-based luxury travel magazine Conde Nast Traveller. The magazine praises the city`s waterways as paths that attracted visitors for centuries, and it still holds the charm like it had for Arab, Chinese and European merchants.

Lauding the Kochi water metro, the magazine notes “As one of the first in the world, its water metro system - a socially inclusive transport option connecting 10 islands along a 78 km network - was already revolutionary when it was launched in 2011, but will set the bar even higher by late 2024 when it becomes fully solar powered.”

The magazine lists the Kochi market, nearest destination Munnar, Kochi`s solar-powered international airport, local festivals, the Kochi - Muziris biennale, the Chinese fishing nets, Pokkali rice and many other factors for including Kochi in the 2024 bucket list of travellers. Kochi was recently hailed as one of the top spots, visited frequently by both foreign and domestic tourists.
