“Ente Keralam Ennum Sundaram”: A Tribute to Kerala’s Resilience

Kerala Tourism has launched a captivating new video campaign, 'Ente Keralam Ennum Sundaram' (My Kerala is Ever Beautiful), celebrating both the cultural vibrancy and resilience of the state. This 2-minute 24-second musical video reflects the festive spirit of Onam, one of Kerala’s most significant cultural festivals, transcending language barriers and emphasizing the secular essence of the occasion.

Sri P. A. Mohamed Riyas, Minister, Kerala Tourism, officially launched the video in Mananthavady, Wayanad. Wayanad, a key tourist destination in Kerala, has faced numerous cancellations from travellers due to the disaster, and the video aims to rekindle interest in the area by showcasing its cultural heritage and natural beauty. Shri Riyas acknowledged Wayanad's critical role in Kerala’s tourism industry, describing the region as blessed with balmy weather, lush greenery and endless potential for tourism.

The video blends visuals of Kerala’s stunning landscapes—from its coastal areas to the upland regions—with glimpses of the state’s rich cultural traditions. Viewers are treated to performances of Kerala’s iconic art forms such as the ritualistic Theyyam, the classical Kathakali, the vibrant Pulikali (tiger dance), and the exhilarating Vallamkali (boat race). Each scene encapsulates Kerala’s deep-rooted cultural diversity and centuries-old connections with global civilizations.

The release of the video is part of a broader campaign titled 'It's Kerala Season,' aimed at reviving the tourism sector in Wayanad and across Kerala. This effort will be further supported by social media influencers visiting key destinations in the region, and creating engaging content to promote the area’s scenic beauty and unique culture. The campaign also seeks to counter the wave of negative stories that followed the landslide in late July, which had led to large-scale cancellations by tourists.

Shri P. A. Mohamed Riyas, Minister, Kerala Tourism remains optimistic that this campaign will help Wayanad recover its status as a prime tourist destination, highlighting the resilience of both the region and its people.
