K-Pop Star Aoora Brings Kerala to the Global Stage with Viral Malayalam Song ‘Thi Thi Thara’

K-Pop sensation Aoora, formerly of the group AA (Double A), is making waves in India with his debut Malayalam song 'Thi Thi Thara', marking his South Indian entry. In an exclusive interview, Aoora shared his love for Indian culture, particularly that of Kerala, where the music video was filmed in the scenic backwaters and Fort Kochi. The track, a blend of modern EDM and traditional elements, features female vocalist Shreesha Bhagwatula. Aoora revealed his challenges learning Malayalam and his enthusiasm for Indian cuisine, especially Kerala’s egg roast and banana fry. His passion for Indo-Korean collaborations and his desire to explore more of India further solidify his connection with Indian fans, who have embraced his cross-cultural projects with excitement.

Aoora’s journey into Indian music began with his renditions of Bollywood hits, but it’s his Malayalam debut that has truly captured the hearts of his audience. Despite the language barrier, he spent months mastering the pronunciation to deliver an authentic performance. With more projects on the horizon, Aoora is set to continue blending cultures through his music, bridging the gap between K-Pop and Indian traditions.
