Kerala Tourism Triumphs at ITB Berlin, Wins Two Prestigious International Awards

Kerala Tourism received global recognition by securing two prestigious awards at the Golden City Gate Awards 2025, held at ITB Berlin, the world's largest travel exhibition. The state's innovative marketing campaign "Come Together in Kerala" won the Silver Star in the Campaign International category, while the captivating music video "Shubha Mangalyam - Weddings in Kerala" earned the Excellent Award in the Music International category.

The accolades were presented by Mr. Wolfgang Jo Huschert, President of the Jury for the Golden City Gate Awards. Shri Vishnuraj P., Additional Director (General), Kerala Tourism, received the awards in Berlin.

The "Come Together in Kerala" campaign effectively encouraged urban families to disconnect from busy routines and reconnect amidst Kerala’s serene landscapes. This campaign combined emotional storytelling through impactful videos such as Yeh Dooriyan and Saath Saath, along with vibrant print and digital advertisements showcasing the diverse experiences Kerala has to offer. Shri. P. A. Mohamed Riyas, Minister, Kerala Tourism, praised the campaign's creative excellence, highlighting its substantial role in achieving record-breaking domestic tourist arrivals in 2023.

"Shubha Mangalyam - Weddings in Kerala" is a melodic, three-language romantic music video featuring renowned Indian-American singer Vidya Vox. The video uniquely blends western pop and Indian classical music, showcasing Kerala as an ideal destination for weddings and honeymoons. Within two months of release, the video amassed over a million views on YouTube and gained widespread popularity across various social media platforms. The visually stunning music video, set against picturesque locations like Alappuzha backwaters, Vagamon hills, and Marari beach, portrays a non-Malayali couple celebrating their wedding amidst Kerala's natural beauty.

Minister Riyas emphasized that the success of both the campaign and the music video would significantly boost Kerala’s international appeal, further cementing its position as a top global tourist and wedding destination.
