In the islands of Anavachal, a number of eco-lodges have been constructed in a vast bamboo grove to give tourists a feel of a typical tribal hut. These dwellings are made exclusively of natural materials like bamboo, grass, screw pine and so on. The eco-lodges also act as experimental learning centres.
Nature lovers may attend the programmes conducted here by the Forest Department. As part of such programmes, Nature sensitisation camps and lectures are organized in the thatched seminar hall and field visits are also conducted.
