Amappara, Idukki

An emerging tourist destination in the Idukki district, Amappara near Ramakkalmedu is an ideal spot for travellers looking for a dose of adventure in their trip. Two giant rocks lean on each other at the crest of the hill, and the overall structure resembles a tortoise, giving it the name Amappara (“tortoise rock”). Apart from exploring the caves and boulders on the hilltop, visitors will get unending views of verdant valleys and rolling hills.
