Dharmanath Jain Temple, Ernakulam

Built in 1960, Dharmanath Jain Temple at Mattancherry in Kochi is dedicated to the 15th Jain Tirthankara, Lord Dharmanath. Inspired by the Jain temples of Gujarat, the Kochi Jain temple is beautifully tiled with white marble and adorned with artworks, sculptured pillars and idols of Jain Gods or Tirthankaras. Celebrated during August-September, Paryushan Parva, festival of forgiveness, is one of the main festivals at the temple.
