Misty Bhoothathankettu Forest | Bhoothathankettu
Trek to Old Bhoothathakettu is a safe natural walk trail through the thick evergreen forest from the vicinity of Bhoothathakettu dam site. A picturesque locale, Old Bhoothathankettu is believed to be the location where the bhootas (demons) made futile efforts to build a dam. Remnants of huge rocks, believed to be used for the dam construction can be seen scattered across the Periyar river.
