Heritage Museum, Bastion Bungalow, Ernakulam
One of the oldest Dutch heritage sites in India, Bastion Bungalow in Ernakulam district, houses a District Heritage Museum giving an insight into Kochi’s prominence as a trading centre from ancient times to the modern period. Built in the Indo-European style way back in 1667, the building blends beautifully into the circular structure of the bastion, has a tiled roof and a typical first-floor verandah in wood along its front portion.
