Kanjirapuzha Dam - A Man-Made Wonder

Located on the Kanjirapuzha River, a tributary of the Thuthapuzha River, the Kanjirapuzha Dam in Palakkad is a reservoir which has mountain ranges at all its sides. The dam which has a catchment area of 7,000 hectares is surrounded by a deep densely-covered evergreen forest called the 'Vettilachola'. The garden at the bottom of the dam offers a plethora of recreational facilities.
