Kappad Beach

Kappad Beach

Kappad Beach owns a special place in the history of Kerala. It is at this beach that over 500 years ago in 1498, the Portuguese explorer Vasco- da-Gama and his 170 men first stepped onto Kerala. Situated in Kozhikode district, this serene beach is a major tourist destination of the district. A walk through the beach brings with it reminiscences of the ancient events that shaped the history of God’s Own Country.
