Kavalam, Alappuzha
Kavalam is a rustic village located on the banks of Vembanad Lake in Kuttanad in Alappuzha district. A favourite location for filmmakers, Kavalam is criss-crossed by canals and lakes that are invariably full of flocks of ducks. During summertime, the paddy fields turn golden resulting in a visual treat.
