Kollengode House
The Kollengode House, Thrissur built in 1904 by Vasudeva Raja of Kollengode dynasty for his daughter, is one among those majestic edifices that have withstood the test of time. Now, this serves as a District Heritage Museum that showcases the most unique and exquisite mural paintings, artifacts from the Megalithic Age and a folklore museum. The unique styles of Kerala and Western architecture blend to give life to this royal edifice. The Heritage wall that borders the Museum is noted for its relief sculptures that display the Machattu Mamangam, one of the major festivals of the district, the history of Arnos Pathiri and so forth.
