Kuthampully

Situated about 50 km northeast of Thrissur town, Kuthampully is a traditional cotton-weaving village known for producing some exotic sarees in the country. The most sought-after of the village products are the designer sarees and the imprints of peacock, flower, Lord Krishna, elephant and Kathakali add elegance and beauty. Most of the inhabitants belong to the Devanga community, and they trace their origins to Karnataka.
