Kuthiramalika Palace
An architectural marvel located near the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram is Kuthiramalika, the Mansion of Horses. It is a pristine two-storied palace built by Swathi Thirunal Balarama Varma, who was a Maharaja of the Kingdom of Travancore in British India. This majestic structure made from rosewood, granite, teakwood, and marble is an exemplary example of traditional Kerala style architecture. 122 horses are carved into the wooden wall brackets that support the southern roof of the Palace.
