Pakkanar Thullal
Pakkanar Thullal is a folk art form once popular in Alappuzha and Kollam districts, and is performed by members of the Sambava community. It is mainly staged at residences to ward off evil spirits and bring prosperity. The performers dance in a trance and make divine revelations or predictions.
