An idea of a long and lazy stroll on this beach stretch is not a bad idea. Quite and secluded, the picture is that of Payyambalam Beach, which is situated close to Kannur with a well-known geographical feature in the form of flat laterite cliffs, portions of which jut into the sea. The massive landscaped sculpture of 'Mother and Child' is another attraction here.
