Pulimkunnu

Pulimkunnu

For a newcomer to Kerala, that too in the time of Christmas, the experience will be enthralling. The state of mountains and backwaters has its own ways of celebrating Christmas. The festival derives a touch of pure natural beauty when it is celebrated in Kerala. The picture is shot from the Pulimkunnu backwaters in Alappuzha district. On the shores, there is the picturesque village church, known as Pulimkkunnu church. And for Santa, it is time for a backwater cruise in a country boat (and who doesn't like a change!). As the veil of soft blue night covers the entire scene, the essentially Kerala X'mas star is there, shedding serene rays of light.
