Located 8 km from Nelliyampathy town in Palakkad district, Seetharkundu offers tantalizing views of mountain ridges, plains with paddy fields, a mighty waterfall and a dam.  The trek to the viewpoint itself is adventurous and the aroma from coffee and spice plantations in the area can brighten up the souls. It is believed that Lord Rama, wife Sita and his brother Lakshmana stayed here during their Vanavasa (period of exile).
