Shendurney Wildlife Sanctuary

A picture perfect destination for wildlife enthusiasts located in the southern part of the Western Ghats of Pathanapuram in Kollam district is the Shendurney. The forest was declared as a wildlife sanctuary in 1984. This tropical semi-evergreen forest is home to animals like elephants, leopards, bison, sambar, wild boar, Lion-tailed macaques, langurs, deer and so forth. The sanctuary is full of many picturesque vantage points. It has a host of trekking trails that takes one on a wonderful journey through these evergreen forests.
