The pristine backwater stretches of Punnamada in Alappuzha district of Kerala host the annual Nehru Trophy Boat Race during the auspicious season of Onam. The spectacular assemblage of Chundans (Snake Boats) and the excitement of the crowd make for a brilliant spectacle.
