Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple

Located in the capital city, Thiruvananthapuram, Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple built by the Travancore dynasty is certainly a spectacle to behold with its architectural beauty and the spiritual aura that it creates. A specialty of the temple is its presiding deity Lord Vishnu. Here, Lord Vishnu is enshrined in the "Anantha Shayanam" posture, the eternal yogic sleep on the serpent Adisheshan. The temple is noted for its architectural style- a mix of indigenous Kerala and Tamil Nadu styles.
