Conducted at the Palli Bhagavathi Temple in Neelamperoor village in Alappuzha district, Kerala, India, the Neelampeeror Padayani displays the parading of exceptionally decorated huge effigies. The temple is believed to be around 1700 years old and the Padayani festival falls in the Malayalam month of Chingam (August/September). It involves the celebration of culture and mythology.
