Thazhathangadi, Kottayam
Located on the banks of the Meenachil, Thazhathangadi was once the trade capital of Kottayam district. A calm place, the town still flaunts sprawling houses built by the merchants of yore. Made mainly of wood, the houses exhibit the architectural peculiarities of the time.
