Thrithala Village, Palakkad

Located on the banks of Bharathapuzha river, Thrithala Village in Palakkad district is a historically and culturally significant place in Kerala. It is home to a large mud fort, Kattil Madom temple (built in the 9th and 10th century) and Ayurvedic centres like Vaidyamadom Hospital at Mezhathur and CNS Ayurvedic Chikitsalayam. With beautifully laid walkways, landscaped and multiple rides, Heritage Park at Velliyamkallu in Thrithala is a popular picnic post in the district.
