Iaia Maria Rosaria Pedemonte is the founder of Gender Responsible Tourism (GRT) in Italy, an international platform recognized by UNWTO dedicated to advancing gender equality within tourism. A passionate advocate for women's roles in tourism, Iaia authored Guida delle Libere Viaggiatrici, the first responsible travel guidebook featuring over 100 women-centered destinations. With over 20 years of experience as a journalist and TV presenter, she also holds a specialized diploma from ISPI and has led projects for UNDP, Bologna University, and others. Iaia has received numerous awards, including recognition as an Innovator from Italy's President and as a Woman for Peace by the International Institute for Peace through Tourism.
