Ms Mridula Tangirala
Mridula Tangirala is the Head of Tourism at Tata Trusts, leading the way in India's ecotourism initiatives. Her work focuses on community-led transformations and preserving iconic heritage sites, fostering deeper cultural connections and community growth. An architect by training and a graduate of IIM Lucknow, Mridula transitioned to the development sector after a 19-year tenure with the Taj Group, where she notably headed the Taj Safaris business vertical. Her experience with a predominantly tribal workforce won numerous awards and highlighted the transformative power of tourism in remote areas.
At the Global Women Conference on Gender Inclusive and Responsible Tourism, Mridula will share her insights on leveraging ecotourism to promote gender inclusion and community empowerment, drawing from her rich experience and innovative approach in the tourism industry.
