President, Perumbalam Panchayat
Adv. V V Asha is the President of Perumbalam Grama Panchayat, the largest island panchayat in Kerala. Also served as a State Resource Person for the Women's Friendly Responsible Tourism Initiative of State Responsible tourism mission. The Perumbalam Island has been a part of the Responsible Tourism initiative, with the Model RT Village activities being implemented. Additionally, a Gender Audit and Safety Study have been conducted in Perumbalam Island as part of the Tourism initiative in association with UN women.
