Ms Sreevidya
Srividya M., a resident of Bedadukka Panchayat in Kasaragod district, is a dedicated woman entrepreneur combining agriculture with tourism. Since 2012, she has transformed barren land into lush greenery through innovative techniques and determination, earning the Kerala Government's Best Young Farmer Award in 2020. Under the banner of Poongavanam Agrifarm, part of the Kerala Responsible Tourism Mission, she cultivates over 250 varieties of exotic fruit trees and operates Poongavanam Nursery, producing fruits, vegetables, and cash crops.In late 2023, she launched Dreamfly Tours and Travels in Perladukkam, promoting Women-Friendly Tourism as a State-Level Resource Person. Her efforts have enabled Kudumbashree workers, youth, students, and women to organize diverse tour packages under the RT Mission. Srividya’s farm also integrates fish, bee, and poultry farming, enhancing sustainability. An innovative Erumadam accommodation project is underway to expand farm tourism. She credits governmental support for inspiring new entrepreneurs like her.
