Minu M. Gopal, an Assistant Professor at Sree Kerala Varma College, has 13 years of experience in teaching and research in tourism, with a focus on responsible travel. Her academic journey led her to the Responsible Tourism (RT) Mission, where she explored sustainable tourism practices. She began her research in tourism during her postgraduate studies in 2000 and deepened her expertise with an M.Phil. dissertation on festival tourism in 2003 at Cochin University. In 2009, she completed a UGC-funded research project on coastal tourism. Minu has presented her work at various national and international seminars, sharing insights on responsible tourism through academic publications. She attended the Global Responsible Tourism Meet in Kumarakom and completed the Trainers of Trainees (ToT) program by the RT Mission Society, later contributing as a resource person. A strong advocate for responsible tourism, Minu believes academia plays a vital role in fostering sustainable tourism practices and driving meaningful change in the industry.
