Catalina Pavel is a Romania-born explorer, tour leader, and educator based in Kochi, Kerala, with nearly a decade of experience in India. Fluent in Hindi and Malayalam, she has guided Romanian tourists through Kerala and other parts of India for over three years. Catalina’s deep understanding of Indian history and culture led her to publish a Kerala-focused travelogue in 2023, sponsored by the Indian Embassy in Romania. She is currently producing a film about the sarpam thullal rituals and the Pulluvan community in Kerala.
