Chengamanad Mahadeva Temple, Aluva
An ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located at Chengamanad village in Ernakulam district in Kerala is Chengamanad Mahadeva Temple. The main sanctum sanctorum is circular, and here Lord Shiva is worshipped as Kirathamoorthy.
The annual 10 days festival is celebrated with arattu on Thiruvathira asterism in the Malayalam month of Dhanu (December - January). Sarkara (jaggery) Nedyam is the most important offering here.
Chengamanad Temple is situated on Mala-Aluva Road. The temple is only 3 kms from the Cochin International Airport. Angamaly and Aluva Railway Stations are at distances of 7 kms and 10 kms from this place.
