Palunkil Shiva Narayana temple, located at Panjal panchayat, Kilimangalam in Thrissur district, has Lord Narasimhamoorthy, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, as the presiding deity. The temple is owned and managed by the Killimangalam Mana. The other deities worshipped here are Lord Shiva, Lord Ganapathy, Lord Ayyappa and Goddess Bhadrakali.
The temple has four shrines, of which two are circular ones built in the 16th century. The shrines are enclosed within the temple complex which has beautifully carved granite columns. The Shiva Linga (phallic representation of Lord Shiva) here is made up of a mixture of white and blue ash resembling a palungu [crystal] and is known as Palungilappan. The main festivals celebrated here are Shivarathri, Navarathri and Sree Krishna Jayanthi.
