The Valliyoorkkavu Bhagavathy Temple

An ancient temple situated at Mananthavady, dedicated to Goddess Durga, Valiyoorkkavu temple is considered to be one among the four guardian shrines of Thirunelli temple. The year of construction of the temple is unknown but several legends point to its Dravidian origin. Valliyoor Kavu festival is well known and attracts thousands of pilgrims to the temple. Conducted during March-April, the 10-day festival at the temple is a celebration of tradition, rituals, and culture.

Temple Timings: 6.00 am to 12.00 noon & 5.30 pm to 8.00 pm
