Also known as Varanasi of South, Kottiyoor Siva Temple at Kannur is a famous pilgrim centre. It has two temples- Akkare Kottiyoor and Ikkare Kottiyoor. Vaishakamahotsavam, the festival of the temple, is an important festival in Malabar.
