Pazhassi Raja Smrithi Maandiram, a memorial in remembrance to Pazhassi Raja was constructed in 2014 CE by Mattannur Municipality. The building, which is in the form of a Koothambalam (theatre in temples for traditional arts) is constructed above a pond, which has been part of the palace complex of Pazhassi Raja.
