A closer view of the Ankathattu, the stage for performing duel at Ponniam Vayal. Due to its historic importance, after several centuries, a stage was built here and every year, a cultural festival named, “Ponniathankam” is conducted to preserve Kerala folk arts and the valiant heroes of Kalaripayattu.
