Magician Gopinath Muthukad founded the Magic Academy in 1996. Its activities to establish magic as a pure form of art based on science and technology are very much appreciated. Academy’s efforts in dismantling ugly cordon of misconceptions that veil the beauty of magic have earned tremendous results. The academy conducted three major magic conventions in the years 1998, 2000 and 2006. Its new branch, Magic Academy Research Centre (MARC) functions as a home for heritage magic where regular performances by traditional street magicians take place.
