Beef Fry
This video shows the method of preparing Beef Fry. Marinate a kilogram of cleaned, boneless beef, cut into small cubes with the following:
Thinly sliced coconut - ½ a cup Shallots cut into two - 1 cup Coriander powder - 3 tbsp Chilli powder - 2 tsp Black pepper powder - 2 tsp Turmeric powder - ½ tsp Garam masala - 2-3 tsp Fresh ginger, chopped - 4-5 cm Garlic cloves, chopped - 10 no. Salt - to taste.
When the beef is well marinated, cook it in a pressure cooker with 200 ml of water until it becomes soft (roughly15-20 minutes).
If there is water left over after the meat is done, cook with the lid open on a high flame till the water has completely evaporated.
Pour three to four tablespoons of coconut oil and sauté two medium-sized onions, slices and a few curry leaves. Then add the cooked beef into it. Fry on a medium flame until the meat turns brown.
