The oldest snake boat race in Kerala, Champakulam Boat Race is hosted in the Pampa River in Alappuzha. The event, held in June or July invites a huge footfall. This year, the event was held on July 3 where as many as 13 boats participated. Nadubhagam Chundan (snake boat) won the race this year.
