Shown in this video is the Temple jewelry, a common name by which the characteristic ornaments used in the classical dance of Bharatanatyam are known. Originally, these ornaments were formed to embellish the idols of Gods and Goddesses and hence the name.

Later the temple dancers, devadasis wore such jewelry. Today, the temple jewelry is worn by south Indian brides as part of their wedding attire.
