For three months Kochi was under the spell of an art extravaganza when it hosted the third edition of Kochi Muziris Biennale. Curated by artist Sudarshan Shetty and titled 'Forming in the Pupil of an Eye', the Biennale which ran for 108 days from December 12, 2016 featured art exhibits by 97 artists from 31 countries. 

The art festival featured artists from highly diverse backgrounds such as writers, poets, musicians, painters, sculptors, and filmmakers, among others. 

Spread across twelve venues, with striking paintings, arresting sculptures, video installations and live performances, the Biennale offered a sojourn into the myriad realms of art.
