Kozhikode

Kozhikode was once the most prominent region of the Malabar coast that witnessed the arrival of Arab, Chinese and East African traders. Vasco da Gama landed on its shores in 1498, shooting the region to global fame. Kozhikode played a major role in the trade and commerce of ancient Kerala by being the capital of the influential Zamorin.

Lush green countryside, serene beaches, historic sites, wildlife sanctuaries, rivers and hills make Kozhikode a popular destination.

Some prime tourist attractions in Kozhikode are Beypore Beach, Kappad Beach, Mananchira Square, SM Street, Kozhikode Beach, Sarovaram Bio Park etc.
