Even though a ritual art form, Mudiyettu exudes elements of devotion and entertainment. It is usually performed in temples dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali, once the summer harvest is over in Kerala. This Mudieyttu was held at Mariamman Temple at Ettumanoor in Kottayam.
