Kurumulaku Kanji or Pepper Porridge
This preparation is usually given to women after the third day of delivery, to be taken daily for a month.
Ingredients Pepper powder Cumin powder Imodakam (ajwain) Crushed garlic Coconut milk Rice (kuthari) Salt
Method of preparation
Boil some water in a big earthen vessel and into this add all the ingredients (pepper powder, cumin powder, imodakam (ajwain), crushed garlic, salt and coconut milk. Upon boiling, add rice (kuthari). Stir a bit. Boil for half an hour or till the rice gets adequately cooked.
