Prawn Masala or Chemmeen Masala


Ingredients
Fresh Prawns     -     75 gms
Chilli Powder    -     1 tsp
Turmeric Powder    -     ¼ tsp
Salt to taste
Ginger Paste    -     ½ tsp
Garlic paste    -     ½ tsp
Chopped Onion    -     3 tsp
Chopped Tomatoes    -      2 tsp
Curry Leaves    -     2 sprigs
Pepper Powder    -     1 tsp
Coconut Oil    -     2 tsp

Method of Preparation

Place shelled and deveined Prawns in a large bowl and mix in turmeric powder, salt to taste garlic paste, ginger paste and chilli powder. Heat a pan and pour in some coconut oil. Add the masala mixed Prawns into the oil and sauté until the prawns change colour. Add the chopped onion to the prawns and stir well. Add some curry leaves. Next, add little amount of garlic paste and ginger paste and stir well. When the onions take on a glazed hue add the grated tomatoes and then pepper powder. Heat for a few minutes to get the prawns fried well.

Delicious Prawn Masala is ready to serve.
