Sargaalaya Arts and Crafts Village

Iringal village in Kozhikode is celebrated for its artistic heritage and traditional craftsmanship. Sargaalaya, the Kerala Arts and Crafts village here is an initiative of Kerala Tourism. This space features Kerala handicraft products and showcases how these products are created by the skilled artisans of God's Own Country.

You can not only collect the classic products manufactured by the dexterous artisans but also learn one or two lessons in the subtleties of craft-making. Travellers across the world visit this arts and crafts village to watch up close the deft expertise of Kerala craftsmen.

Spreading on a 20-acre land on the shores of the Moorad River, the craft village has 60 stalls housed in beautiful cottages that are environment-friendly and ethnic in design. Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society (ULCCS) manages this village. Sargaalaya was developed and implemented on the Responsible Tourism model.
