Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple

One of the 108 sacred Vishnu temples or Divya Desams in India, Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, situated in the capital city Thiruvananthapuram is a celebrated pilgrim centre in God's Own Country. The temple is also known by the name Sree Ananda Padmanabhaswamy Temple, for the presiding deity Lord Vishnu. The deity here is in reclining posture along with Anantha, the hooded Serpent.

This ancient temple showcases Kerala and Dravidian styles of architecture. It is believed to be the world’s richest temple.
The temple celebrates two main festivals. One is the Alpasi Utsavam and the other is the Painkuni Utsavam.
